Diplomats Pick Up Two on the Road

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's volleyball team remained consistent in the win column Tuesday night picking up two more victories. F&M defeated Penn State Harrisburg in three straight sets, and then continued their momentum against Lancaster Bible winning in four sets.

The Lions found it difficult to catch the Diplomats once the match had started. F&M made a statement in the first set winning by 18 points. The Diplomats controlled the tempo the next two sets winning 25-15 and 25-11.

The Diplomats were led offensively by Danielle Roth who finished the night with eight kills, three aces, and added five digs on defense. Caitlin Krutsick contributed 14 assists, nine digs, two kills, and two aces.

In game two the Diplomats played against home team Lancaster Bible. The Diplomats won the first set 25-17 before dropping the second 23-25.  F&M was able to recover from the loss and win the game in the next two sets (25-17, 26-24).

F&M Sydney Seydel had a great night offensively leading the Diplomats with 17 kills. Pam Horner contributed an all around game with 45 assists, four kills, five aces, and eight digs. Teammate Kerry Rom posted 10 digs defensively and Heather Letzkus recorded eight kills.  

The two wins lift the Diplomats to 7-4. Franklin & Marshall returns to action Friday home against Lebanon Valley. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
