Diplomats Drop Green Terror

LANCASTER, Pa.—Franklin & Marshall began defense of its Centennial Conference crown with a 3-0 victory over McDaniel at Mayser Center Wednesday night. The Diplomats took the opening set 25-7, the second set 25-12, and the third set 25-16.

The Diplomats (3-7, 1-0 CC), received contributions from nearly the entire roster. Elise Gilchrist notched four aces, out of 16 on the night for F&M. Gilchrist also added three digs and three blocks.  Ellana Benabou turned in a solid performance, recording three kills, and adding four blocks. Meghan Hubert tallied 19 of the Diplomats' 28 assists in the match.

Franklin & Marshall will return to action on Saturday, when the Diplomats head to Ursinus for a CC tilt.  The match begins at 11 a.m.
