Diplomats Sweep Bears

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa.— Franklin & Marshall turned in a dominating performance on the volleyball court Saturday, with a 3-0 win over Ursinus in Centennial Conference (CC) action.  The Diplomats defeated the Bears to improve to 2-0 in the CC, 4-7 overall, by scores of 25-17, 25-10, and 25-18.

Julie Harvey paced the F&M (4-7, 2-0 CC) attack, with 14 kills, and a .684 hitting percentage.  Kerry Rom added nine kills and 10 digs in a solid all-around performance.  Caroline Hubbard tallied 27 of the 38 assists recorded by the Diplomats on the day.  As a team, F&M had 42 kills, 46 digs, and a .341 hitting percentage.

F&M will be back in action on Tuesday with a CC match against Bryn Mawr at 7 p.m.
