Harvey Named ECAC Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa.—Franklin & Marshall freshman Julie Harvey was named Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Volleyball Player of the Week, for the week ending October 2.  This is the first ECAC weekly honor for Harvey.

Harvey led the Diplomats to a 5-0 record last week, including CC wins over Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore, and victories against Ithaca, Marywood, and Frostburg State in the F&M Scramble.  She recorded a .406 hitting percentage, and tallied 72 kills, 16 digs, 15 blocks, and four service aces for the week.  Against Swarthmore on Wednesday, Harvey dominated with 27 kills and just three errors on 49 attempts, for a hitting percentage of .490.  She was also named MVP of the F&M Scramble.

F&M is riding a seven match winning streak, and will return to action tonight with a Centennial Conference (CC) match at Johns Hopkins at 7 p.m.
