Three Earn All-CC Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. – Three Franklin & Marshall volleyball players were named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) Team, announced by the league office on Tuesday. Caroline Hubbard nabbed first team honors, while Ellie Ezekiel was named to the second team and Julie Harvey received honorable mention.

Hubbard (Baton Rouge, La. / Western Reserve Academy) landed on the first team for the second consecutive year, after securing a spot on the second team in 2012 and honorable mention in 2011. Hubbard was at the top of the conference in assists per set all season, and finished in second (9.40) behind Washington's Taylor Horan (9.49). The senior setter was named the CC Tournament MVP after her double-double (50 assists, 15 digs) in the championship match.

Ezekiel (Chadds Ford, Pa. / Garnet Valley) was placed on the second team, after receiving honorable mention in 2013. The outside hitter finished seventh in the conference in kills per set at 2.94. She led F&M in kills this season with 326, while adding 40 block assists, good for second on the squad. The sophomore collected a career-high 24 kills in the 3-2 win over Muhlenberg in the conference championship. 

Harvey (Horsham, Pa. / Hatboro-Horsham) received honorable mention as the senior outside hitter ranked seventh in the CC in hitting percentage at .288 and sixth in solo blocks (15). She also led the Diplomats in blocks per set at 0.60. Last season, Harvey was named Player of the Year and received honorable mention in 2012, while earning Co-Player of the Year accolades in 2011.

F&M (21-11) edged Muhlenberg 3-2 in the conference final on Sunday and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010. The Diplomats will take on the No. 2 team in the country, Hope (Mich.), in the first round on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in Springfield, Ohio.
