Ezekiel, Hubbard Named to All-Region Team

2014 AVCA Division III All-Region Teams

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Ellie Ezekiel and Caroline Hubbard were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-North Region Team. Ezekiel landed on the First Team, while Hubbard received Honorable Mention.

This is the second time Hubbard has been recognized by the AVCA, as the senior setter garnered Honorable Mention back in 2012. The nod is Hubbard's second postseason accolade to go along with her Centennial Conference (CC) First Team honor. It is also the second recognition for Ezekiel, who was named to the CC Second Team.

Ezekiel (Chadds Ford, Pa. / Garnet Valley) finished seventh in the conference in kills per set at 2.94 and she led F&M in kills this season with 335, while adding 40 block assists, good for second on the squad. The sophomore collected a career-high 24 kills in the 3-2 win over Muhlenberg in the Conference Championship.

Hubbard (Baton Rouge, La. / Western Reserve Academy) was at the top of the conference in assists per set all season, and finished in second (9.40) behind Washington's Taylor Horan (9.49). The senior setter was named CC Tournament MVP after her double-double (50 assists, 15 digs) in the Championship match.

After winning their first CC Crown since 2010, the Diplomats fell to Hope (3-0) in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 13.
