Series History: Franklin & Marshall opens the week by hosting Johns Hopkins on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Mayser Center. F&M carries a 25-16 all-time advantage into the 42nd meeting between the programs.

Centennial Conference (CC) play continues on Friday when Haverford comes to town for a 6:00 p.m. matchup with the Diplomats, the 35th meeting in the series. F&M owns a 24-10 lead in the previous 34 contests.

The Diplomats conclude the week on Saturday by traveling to Radnor, Pa. for a trimatch with Cabrini and Stockton, hosted by Cabrini. F&M will begin the day at 1:00 p.m., taking on Richard Stockton for the ninth time in program history, a series that Stockton leads 5-3. The Diplomats then take on Cabrini at 3:00 p.m., carrying a 9-3 all-time advantage into the match.

Most Recent Meetings: Johns Hopkins and F&M squared off twice last season, with the Blue Jays taking the first meeting, 3-2, in the regular season on Oct. 8. The Diplomats got revenge on Nov. 5 in the first round of the conference tournament, taking a 3-2 decision.

The Diplomats also met Haverford twice last season, dropping the first contest 3-1 on Oct. 1. Again, F&M got its revenge in postseason play, beating the Fords 3-1 on Oct. 8 in the semifinals of the conference tournament.

Cabrini and F&M last met on Nov. 1, 2014 at the Mayser Center. The Diplomats fought off a defeat in the first set to earn a 3-1 victory on the last day of the regular season.

Last Week: F&M opened the week by dropping its first conference match of the season, a 3-1 decision against visiting Swarthmore. The Diplomats were unable to overcome an early 2-0 deficit despite getting a career-high 16 kills from freshman Barbara Kapustin.

The week concluded when F&M traveled to Bryn Mawr on Saturday. The Diplomats took the match in three sets, using a career-high 16 kills from Katie Foreman and holding the Owls to a .000 hitting percentage for the victory.

In the Rankings: Entering the second week of October, Allison Edelstein continues to lead the conference in assists per set. Her 9.35 mark is the only average above nine in the conference.

Strong defense from Alyssa Sanchez has her climbing the conference rankings, with her 4.47 digs per set good for fourth. She is also sixth in total digs at 246.

Milestone Watch: The victory over Bryn Mawr on Saturday moved head coach Mary Kate Boland to 244 career wins. Boland, in her 13th season leading the Diplomats, is now just six wins shy of the 250-win mark and seven wins shy of tying Steve Coulson for the all-time wins record at F&M with 251.
