Series History: Franklin & Marshall continues play this Saturday, hosting a trimatch at the Mayser Center. The Diplomats open the day by facing Centennial Conference (CC) foe Washington at 12:00 p.m. The contest is the 45th between the schools, with F&M holding a 37-7 all-time advantage and winning the last 26 meetings.

The trimatch concludes at 4:00 p.m. when the Diplomats take on Washington & Lee. The Generals and Diplomats have met two previous times, with F&M yet to claim a victory.

F&M will celebrate senior night before taking on Washington & Lee. The Diplomats will honor Katie Foreman, Kelsey Michenko, and Alyssa Sanchez before the match.

Most Recent Meetings: Washington and F&M last met on Oct. 25 of last year, with the Diplomats coming away victorious by a 3-1 margin. Ellie Ezekiel tallied 20 kills and 15 digs in the match.

F&M's last meeting with W&L was on Oct. 18 of last year at a trimatch hosted by Randolph-Macon. The Generals won three tight sets (25-22, 25-21, 25-20) to post a 3-0 victory over the Diplomats.

Last Week: The past week began on Wednesday night when F&M continued CC play by visiting McDaniel. Ezekiel provided 15 kills and Cassie Garison recorded five blocks as the Diplomats took the match, 3-1.

Next up was a trip to Stevenson, Md. for a trimatch featuring the host Mustangs and the Profs of Rowan University. Despite getting 16 kills from Barbara Kapustin and 23 digs from Mary Leneweaver, F&M dropped the match, 3-1.

The Diplomats closed out the week and trimatch by defeating Rowan 3-0. Ezekiel led the way in kills (11) and digs (eight) as F&M cruised to victory.

In the Rankings: Allison Edelstein continues to lead the conference in assists per set, averaging 9.54. She is followed by Washington's Taylor Horan at 9.02.

Sanchez, carrying 367 total digs and a 4.65 digs per set average, has reached fifth place in the CC for both categories.

Milestone Watch: After logging 50 digs in three matches last week, Sanchez has 1,560 in her career. She is now just 16 shy of third place (Julie Simpson, 1,576) and 42 short of second place (Melynne Stufft, 1,602) in the all-time F&M record books. Meghan Godorov '05 holds the top spot with 2,181.

On the week, Ezekiel tacked 36 kills onto her career total, now standing at 868. The past week saw her move up from 15th to 10th in career kills, with seventh place (Tricia Vos, 991) now within striking distance.

Head coach Mary Kate Boland, in her 13th season guiding the Diplomats, now has 246 career wins. She is just five shy of tying the F&M record for wins by a coach, held by Steve Coulson (251).
