Edelstein Selected to Represent United States at Maccabiah Games

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall senior Allison Edelstein has been selected to represent the United States volleyball team at this summer's 20th Maccabiah Games in Israel. The event, which is expected to draw more than 9,000 Jewish athletes from more than 80 countries, is organized by the Maccabi World Union and ranks as the third-largest sporting event in the world.

Edelstein just finished off a successful career at F&M, ranking third in program history with 8.93 assists per set and eighth all-time with 2026 total assists. The Livingston, N.J. native put together a stellar senior campaign, serving as a captain for the Diplomats while averaging 10.28 assists per set to lead the Diplomats and the Centennial Conference (CC). Her 0.52 service aces per set also led the Diplomats and ranked third in the CC, helping her earn All-CC Honorable Mention at the end of the season.

The Maccabiah Games are held every four years in Israel, and are open to all Jewish athletes as well as any Israeli athlete, regardless of religion.
