Series History: Franklin & Marshall travels to Ithaca for three matches in two days at the Bomber Invitational, beginning on Friday at 4:30 p.m. against the host school. This is the sixth meeting between the schools, with the Bombers owning a 5-1 advantage in the all-time series.

Later on in the evening, F&M plays New Paltz St. This will be the first meeting for these two teams. 

On Saturday, the Diplomats finish the weekend against Mary Washington at 1:30 p.m. F&M leads the series 3-1, but the teams have not met since 1992.

Most Recent Meetings: Ithaca and F&M last met on Sept. 17, 2016, resulting in a 3-2 loss for the Diplomats. Ellie Ezekiel and Cassie Garison led the offense with 12 kills apiece.

The Diplomats and the Eagles last met on Oct. 18, 1992. F&M lost the match 2-1. 

Last Week: The Diplomats saw their first and only loss of 2017 on Wednesday when F&M traveled to Scranton. The Diplomats started strong, winning the first two sets, but were unable to tally the victory.

Friday was the beginning of the F&M Scramble, which saw the Diplomats take down LVC 3-1.  Grace Maggiore dominated the day with a triple-double, recording 37 assists, 12 kills, and 11 digs.

On Saturday, F&M hosted the last two games of the tournament. The Diplomats started the day by winning a clean 3-0 sweep against Penn St.-Altoona. F&M then took a decisive victory over York 3-1.

Among the Leaders: After week two, several Diplomats rank amongst the Centennial Conference (CC) leaders in various statistical categories.

Sophomore outside-hitter Grace Polisano ranks fifth with 90 kills and freshman Delaney Hahn cracks the top-10 with 88. Maggiore ranks fifth averaging 8.76 assists per set.

Record Watch: After recording 16 kills this weekend, Cassie Garison moved into the top-25 for all-time kills, placing 24th with 476. Jessica Poucel '12 sits in front of her with 486, and Jen Power '97 leads the category with 1,540. In only 29 sets, Grace Maggiore ranks 13th with 254 assists while Mary Kate Boland '01 leads with 4,012. With 108 block assists to tie for 13th, Garison only needs seven more to break the top-10. Nicole Morano '11 leads the category with 213.
