SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's volleyball team lost to Swarthmore in a clean 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-9) on Wednesday evening.

F&M drops to 9-5 overall, 2-1 CC while Swarthmore improved to 7-5, 3-1 CC.

Errors from the Diplomats helped the Garnet to take a 10-3 lead. A kill from Grace Polisano brought the score to 12-6, and looked to change the momentum. Swarthmore maintained the pace and finished out the first set 25-14.

F&M came out strong in the second with Christine Yoo behind the service line pulling the lead 4-2. Delaney Hahn continued the stride serving to increase the spread 11-4. Swarthmore lessened the gap, coming within two at 22-20, and then going on a 6-0 run to take the second.

The Garnet came out strong in the third, tallying 12 unanswered points to take a 13-1 lead. The Diplomats were unable to recover, and Swarthmore finished the set, 25-9 to take the match.

Grace Maggiore led the way with a double-double of 18 assists and 10 digs. Polisano paced the offense with nine kills and eight digs. Yoo and Hahn followed with three kills each.

F&M travels to Stockton for a tri-match of non-conference play on Saturday, facing off against Stockton at 11:00 a.m. and Farmingdale State at 1:00 p.m.
