Series History: Franklin & Marshall volleyball (15-6, 6-1 CC) opens this week hosting Muhlenberg on Wednesday evening for a crucial match the Diplomats need to win in order to maintain their second-place standing in the Centennial.This is the 31st meeting between the schools in a series that dates to 1990 with F&M holding a 25-5 advantage, despite two straight wins by Muhlenberg. The Mules have not won at Mayser Center since 2003.
F&M then travels to Susquehanna for the Wid Guisler Invite on Friday for two non-conference matches. The Diplomats first take on Susquehanna, who they have historically beaten with a record of 21-11, though F&M has not won a contest since 2013.
The Diplomats follow with a match against No. 17 Juniata. The Eagles hold a 26-game winning streak, the longest any opponent has against F&M.
F&M ends the week hosting Bryn Mawr on Saturday, looking to continue a 26-match winning streak in the series.
45th Anniversary: This season marks the 45th anniversary of the women's volleyball program at Franklin & Marshall College. The team will host a dinner on Saturday night to commemorate the milestone, as well as induct a new class into the Court of Honor. This year's class includes coach Steve Coulson, Meghan Godorov '06, Margot Phelan '09, Tricia Vos '94, and the 1993 Team.
Last Week: The Diplomats started a 3-0 week by defeating Gettysburg 3-1 on Wednesday in a battle for the second place spot in the CC.
Three Diplomats recorded a double-double on the evening. Grace Maggiore tallied 41 assists and 11 digs and three blocks. Barbara Kapustin recorded 12 kills, to lead the team, and 10 digs, while Grace Polisano was good for 11 kills and 12 digs. Murphy cemented the defense with 22 digs.

F&M then traveled to Washington on Saturday for a tri-match, first beating the host school 3-0, and followed with a hard-fought victory 3-2 over Alvernia.
Against Washington, sophomore Polisano led the offense with eight kills and 11 digs. Maggiore recorded 29 assists, six digs, and six kills. Gabby Mavroidis led with three aces and also tallied five digs.
Against Alvernia, Polisano kept the pace leading with both 18 kills and six service aces on the match. Maggiore was good for 45 assists, seven digs, and six kills. Casey Morrow held her own with 10 kills and three digs. Murphy cemented the defense with 19 kills.

Among CC Leaders: Polisano's 222 kills on the year is good for seventh among other CC players. Maggiore ranks fourth, averaging 8.97 assists per set. Christine Yoo, Maggiore, and Caroline Elgut rank fourth, fifth and eighth in hitting percentage with an average of .304, .301, and .270, respectively.
Record Watch: Garison ranks in the program's top-25 for all-time kills, placing 22nd with 552. Polisano cracked the top-25 in the same category, now ranking 24th with 489. Jen Power '97 leads the category with 1,540. Maggiore now ranks 10th in career assists with 716. Mary Kate Boland 01' leads the category with 4,012.
Garison has 130 block assists to tie for fifth; she also ranks 13th with 157 total blocks. Yoo breaks the top-20 for block assists, placing 20th with 81, and also ranks tied for 21st with 99 total blocks. Stacy Dunchick '00 leads with 369 total blocks.
