Zielinski Paces F&M at CC Championship

STEVENSON, Md. - Julia Zielinski placed 26th to pace Franklin & Marshall at the 2015 Centennial Conference Cross Country Championship Saturday afternoon. F&M finished eighth in the team standings with 222 points while Johns Hopkins took the team title with 19 points as the Blue Jays took the top four individual spots. Haverford was second at 69 and Dickinson placed third with 75 points. 

Zielinski completed the 6k course in 23:09.1 with Tess Meehan from Hopkins taking the individual title in 21:33.7. 

Grace Adams finished 46th out of 106 runners with a time of 23:55.2 and Rachel Weiss placed 63rd in 24:31.6. Amelia Cadwell ran 25:31.2, Kathleen McCutcheon turned in at 26:17.7 and Abby Grehlinger crossed at 26:24.7. 

Caroline Kearney and Meredith Malcolm finished seconds apart at 27:09.3 and 27:23.3 to round out the F&M squad. 

F&M returns to action next Saturday when the Diplomats compete at the Mid-East Regionals at Big Springs High School. The race will start at 11:00 a.m.
