Women’s Cross Country Starts the 2017 Season at Little Three

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's cross country team is set to begin the 2017 season on Friday, traveling to Dickinson for the annual Little Three meet at 6:00 p.m. The Diplomats look to improve on a middle of the pack finish at regionals last year with a strong returning roster.

2017 Diplomats

The Diplomats showed good pace, finishing 31st out of the 51 teams at the 2016 Mid-East Regional competition. Needing to replace two graduated seniors, F&M has brought in five freshmen to help push a roster filled with experience and many key returners.

Adams led the way for the Diplomats at regionals, finishing 131st with a time of 24:44. Lane had a breakout rookie year with a third place finish at the Alvernia Invitational, clocking in at 26:21.5.

Grehlinger and McCutcheon also look to anchor an experienced group of returners.

The Road Ahead 

Following the Little Three on Friday, the Diplomats' are set to compete in three additional regular season races leading up to the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships, hosted by Gettysburg on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 11:00 a.m. The NCAA Mid-East Regionals are set for Saturday, Nov. 11 at 11:00 a.m. and are taking place at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa.
