Season in Review: 2017 F&M Women’s Cross Country

An individual team title, as part of a pair of top-five finishes, highlighted Franklin & Marshall's women's cross country team's 2017 season. 

At the Battle for the Buggy in Millersville on Oct. 7, the Diplomats rolled past a five-team field by placing three runners in the top-10 to secure the team championship over Chestnut Hill, PSU-Berks, Millersville, and Lancaster Bible. Emma Frazier '21 finished second out of 37 competitors with a time of 25:11, while Grace Adams '18 came in sixth (25:51) and Caylie Privitere '18 tallied a ninth-place showing (26:31) on the 6K course. 

The team's following competition on Oct. 14 at the Hood Invitational once against saw F&M compete at a high level when the Diplomats secured third out of 11 teams. Three Diplomats finished in the top-20 of the 94-member field, led by Frazier's 12th-place showing at 25:42.7. Adams was next in 17th place at 26:08.5, while Privitere rounded out F&M's top three with a time of 26:14.7 to earn 18th.
