F&M Releases Winter 2018-19 Schedules

LANCASTER, Pa. - Schedules for Franklin & Marshall's winter athletic teams have been announced and are available for viewing at GoDiplomats.com. Click on the links above to access each team's 2018-19 slate of contests. 

Fans can utilize the "Add to Calendar" button, which allows the synchronization of new events and updates directly in their Google, Exchange, Yahoo, Outlook, ICal and additional calendars.

Look for the icon below, which can be accessed at the top-right of all winter schedules when viewed on your computer, or bottom-left of all schedules on your mobile device. 

Men's Basketball

The Diplomats open their 2018-19 campaign at home on Sunday, Nov. 11 with a meeting against Albright. The annual William Marshall Tip-Off Tournament is set for the following weekend in Mayser, and opens on Friday, Nov. 16 against Alvernia at 7:30 p.m. Stevens and Hobart also compete in the tournament with the Consolation (5:30 p.m.) and Championship (7:30 p.m.) games set for Saturday evening.

Centennial Conference (CC) action begins on the road with a Tuesday, Nov. 20 contest against Gettysburg. The Sponaugle New Years Tournament is slated to run from Dec. 29-30 and features Delaware Valley, Rowan, and Keene St. with the Consolation game at 1:00 p.m. and the Championship at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The CC Playoffs begin with the First Round on Tuesday, Feb. 19 while the Semifinals and Championship occurring on Feb. 22-23.

Women's Basketball

Women's basketball takes to the road to open the season, traveling to Marywood on Tuesday, Nov. 13. The annual Terry Greene Tip-Off Classic starts off on Saturday, Nov. 17 when F&M hosts Elizabethtown at 3:00 p.m. W&L and Haverford will also compete in the tournament, with the Consolation (1:00 p.m.) and Championship (3:00 p.m.) games set for Sunday afternoon.

F&M hosts Gettysburg to begin Conference play on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7:00 p.m. in Lancaster, while the Diplomats close out the 2018 calendar year with a trip to Santa Cruz, Calif. with meetings against Grove City on Dec. 29 and U.C. Santa Cruz on Dec. 30.

Centennial Playoffs open with the First Round on Tuesday, Feb. 19 with the Semifinals and Championship set to run from Feb. 22-23.

Men's and Women's Squash

Both the men's and women's squash teams will open their 2018-19 seasons at home by hosting the Pennsylvania Cup, a four-team tournament that will also feature Penn., Dickinson, and Drexel. F&M begins action against Penn. on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 1:00 p.m., with the Consolation (12:00 p.m.) and Championship (12:00 p.m) matches taking place the next day at Mayser and Lancaster Country Day squash courts.

The men's CSA Team Championship will be hosted by Yale and is set for Feb. 15-17, while the women will compete in the tournament the following weekend at Trinity. Providence, R.I. will be the site of the CSA Individual Championships for both the men's and women's squads and will take place from March 1-3.

Men's and Women's Track & Field

F&M's upcoming indoor track & field season begins at home on Saturday, Dec. 1 with the Diplomat Open. Six meets follow, including the annual Coach I Open on Saturday, Jan. 12, as well as the Little Dip Invite in the ASFC on Friday, Jan. 25. The Centennial Conference (CC) Indoor Championships, which are being hosted by F&M, are slated to take place on Feb. 23-24.

Men's and Women's Swimming

The men's and women's swimming programs start off 2018-19 at home by hosting York, Widener, and Mary Washington on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1:00 p.m. CC competition starts on Friday, Oct. 26 when the Diplomats host Washington for a 7:00 p.m. dual meet.

On Nov. 16-18, the annual Franklin & Marshall Invitational will take place at the Alumni Sports and Fitness Center, while the CC Championships are heading back to Gettysburg and are set to run from Feb. 21-24.


The Diplomats are currently set to compete in 13 dual meets to go along with several tournaments as F&M prepares for the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) Championships, which are hosted by Binghamton on March 8-9.

Notable events include the historic Midlands Tournament, hosted by Northwestern, from Dec. 29-30 while the tradition of the Rupp Cup continues on Feb. 13 with a 7:30 p.m. road dual against Millersville.

The seventh annual David H. Lehman F&M Open is set for Saturday, Jan. 5 at the ASFC in Lancaster, while the NCAA Championships are taking place in Pittsburgh, Pa. on March 21-23.
