LANCASTER, Pa. - Three of Franklin & Marshall's postseason-eligible fall teams have qualified for a place in this week's Centennial Conference (CC) Playoffs.
Men's soccer enters their Tournament as the No. 1 seed and is set to host the Semifinals and Championship matches this weekend on Tylus Field. The Diplomats square off with the winner of Wednesday's First Round matchup between No. 4 Gettysburg and No. 5 Haverford. Field Hockey travels to Johns Hopkins on Friday as the No. 2 seed and is set to battle No. 3 Ursinus is the Centennial Semifinals. Volleyball also claimed the No. 2 seed for its Tournament and travels to Baltimore on Saturday for a showdown with No. 3 McDaniel in the Semifinals.
The Diplomats advanced to the Playoffs for the ninth straight year after tallying a 15-2, 9-1 CC mark on the year. F&M is in search of its second CC Title in the last three years after winning it all in 2017.
An automatic qualification for the NCAA Playoffs awaits the winner of the 2019 CC Championship. First Round action begins on Wednesday, Nov. 13. The Sweet 16 and Elite Eight are set to run on Nov. 16-17 while Spooky Nook Sports in Manheim will once again play host to this year's Final Four and National Championship on Nov. 23-24. The 24-team field will be announced with a press release on Sunday, Nov. 10 after 11:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.

F&M earned hosting rights for just the third time in CC Tournament history and for the first time since 2014 after culminating the regular season with a 15-2, 8-1 CC record. The Diplomats have become a staple in the Conference Playoffs, advancing to the Tournament for the 11th straight season - second only to Johns Hopkins run of 18 consecutive appearances. F&M's last CC Championship was claimed in 2017.
The CC Champion will earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament, which begins with the First and Second rounds on Nov. 16-17. The Sweet 16 and Quarterfinal rounds take place Nov. 22-23, with the Final Four and NCAA Final slated for Dec. 6-7 in Greensboro, N.C. The NCAA selection show will take place on Monday, Nov. 11 at 1:30 p.m. and can be viewed on NCAA. com.

Volleyball earned its 12th consecutive showing in the CC Tournament - a streak unmatched among CC opponents - after registering a 19-5, 9-1 CC record during the regular season. The Diplomats are seeking their seventh CC Championship and first since the 2014 season.
The NCAA Regionals will take place at eight host sites from Nov. 14-17 while the Finals run from Nov. 21-23 at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The 64-team field will be announced during a selection show on Monday, Nov 11th at 12:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.
