Jeff Stoudt received his undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine from West Chester University and his Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville. Stoudt began at F&M in 1994 and is currently the Athletic Department’s Senior Officer for Division I and Division III NCAA and Conference Compliance, a role he has handled since 2011.

Originally hired as a Certified Athletic Trainer, Stoudt became the first Director of Sports Medicine at F&M and has led the Sports Medicine Department for 20 years.  During his tenure, his focus has been on providing high quality healthcare and rehabilitation to student athletes. It was that focus that made it possible for the department, as part of Appel Health Services, to become accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and became only the third department in the country to achieve that accreditation in the 1990’s. Stoudt has also been a guest speaker at several clinical symposiums including the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers Symposium where his department was featured at the College and University break out session.

Since 2007, Stoudt has served not only as the Director of Sports Medicine, but also as either Assistant or Associate Athletic Director where he served on the Senior Staff of the Athletic Department. At completion of the 2014 academic year, Stoudt was promoted into his current role and has led the department in the construction of a new 2,000 square foot sports medicine facility.

Prior to working at F&M, Stoudt completed a three-year internship in sports medicine at Swarthmore College. Jeff mentored under the legendary Professor Emeritus Doug Weiss while at Swarthmore, who served as the head athletic trainer there for 34 years.

Stoudt is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the Board of Certification of Athletic Training, and is licensed by the State Board of Medicine in Pennsylvania.  He has an instructor certification in CPR and AED up to the professional rescuer from the American Heart Association and has taught several CPR, AED, and First Aid classes at local community centers.

Jeff is also the past-president of the Franklin & Marshall Parent’s Association that formed the College Hill Children’s Center located on F&M’s campus.  As president, he led the Association from a 55 child daycare center to its current facility, one that houses over 200 which includes a kindergarten program.  Also within his tenure, the center was able to attain a Keystone Four Star rating and became accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children within its current complex.

Jeff resides in Lancaster County with his wife Charlotte, and his two sons, Alex and Zach.  He happily coaches his son’s soccer teams, which have spanned from U8 to their current U15 teams.
