Schedule Changes: F&M's home contest with Gettysburg, originally scheduled for Tuesday, was moved to Thursday of this week due to unplayable field conditions. First pitch is still set for 3:30 p.m.

Series History: Gettysburg serves as one of F&M's oldest rivals as the two teams have been meeting on a regular basis since the 1893 season. The series has been close of late as the Diplomats are 6-4 in the last 10 meetings.

Against Haverford, F&M is 31-18 all-time at home but enter this weekend's contests winless in its last five home games against the Fords, dating back to 2011.

A Look at Gettysburg: The Bullets head into the week with a 6-12, 0-2 CC record after dropping both of its games against Muhlenberg by scores of 3-2 and 7-1 last Saturday. Chuck Probst anchors the lineup with a .400 batting average and the team has combined for a .294 clip. The pitching staff has struggled with a 5.29 ERA on the year.

A Look at Haverford: The Fords are 9-11 overall with a 2-0 CC mark after a sweep of McDaniel on Saturday. Haverford took game one by an 18-16 tally and finished off the sweep with a 14-12 (5 innings) victory in the nightcap. Haverford is batting at a .288 team average and is paced by reigning CC Player of the week Michael Schwarze who holds a .393 batting average. Typically a strength, pitching has been a weakness this season for the Fords, who hold a 5.26 ERA.

Last Week: The Diplomats went 2-1 last week, including a clutch doubleheader sweep over Washington College to open Centennial Conference (CC) play on Saturday.

F&M opened action by falling to Salisbury on Tuesday by a 13-1 score. Recap

Saturday saw the Diplomats battle back from a 4-0 deficit against the Shoremen and eventually secure a 5-4 win in 10 innings, before the F&M offense exploded for a season-high 24 hits, batted at an astounding .425 (17-40) clip with runners on base and went 4-for-5 with runners on and less than two outs on the board to down Washington 23-9 in the nightcap.

Milestones to Watch: Senior ace Mike Androconis has accumulated 15 wins in his career, a mark that is tied for eighth-best all-time and places him just five shy of the program record (20) held by Ted Serro '06.

Androconis' three complete-game shutouts are tied for second, behind only Serro in first with five, while his 166 strikeouts are fifth all-time. With his 30 career starts, he also is closing in on the program record of 33 held by Alex Guerra '15.

Among the CC Leaders: Matthew Kann's .387 batting average is eighth among CC players while Kelsey Launi is close behind in 10th with a .378 clip. Dan Marano's three home runs place him tied for third entering the week.

On the mound, starter Jack Buckley has accumulated a 2.28 ERA, which is good for fifth among CC leaders, while Jonathan Cole is sixth at 2.66. Buckley is also tied for second in the Centennial with his three wins.

Honors for Androconis: Mike Androconis was named the CC Pitcher of the Week, while also earning a spot as a reliever of the D3baseball.com Team of the Week. The senior righthander entered out of the bullpen against Washington on Saturday and blanked the Shoremen with six shutout innings, allowing just two hits and striking out 11 batters.

Hitting Streaks

100 for Marano: With a 2-for-4 effort against No. 15 Southern Maine on March 18, Dan Marano reached the 100-hit milestone for his career.

Closing Time: Reliever Andrew Mascis tossed three shutout frames to record his 16th career save, taking over sole possession of the Centennial Conference's (CC) record in F&M's 5-1 win over York on March 6. His save moved him past Haverford's Charlie Carluccio who set the career mark in 2011.

CC Preseason Poll: F&M was picked to finish third in the CC Preseason Poll. Defending-Champion Johns Hopkins earned the top spot with 80 points and eight first-place votes, followed by Haverford (70 points, 2 first-place votes), F&M (55 points), Ursinus (54 points) and Swarthmore (50 points).
