Former Franklin & Marshall football player, Alexander Lathrop Johnson '96, passed away on July 9th in Springfield, Virginia. He was 38.
Alex was born in Washington, Connecticut where he attended the Washington Montessori School and graduated from the Taft School in Watertown, Connecticut in 1992. He graduated from F&M in 1996 and received a master's degree from the University of Virginia in 2000. Alex taught at the Darrow School in New Lebanon, New York and the Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland. For many years, he worked at the History Factory in Chantilly, Virginia developing digital heritage management solutions that encompass the life cycle of an organization.
He is survived by his wife Paula, son David, age 6, daughter Sarah, age 4, and his black Labrador retriever, Lucky.
A service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, July 13th at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 6320 Hanover Avenue, Springfield, Va 22150 tel: (703) 451-1088. There will also be a small burial service in his hometown of Washington, Connecticut on Monday morning at 11:00am
