LANCASTER, PA -- Franklin & Marshall College placekicker/punter Dan Eggertsson (Sr., Royal Palm, FL/Suncoast) has been named to the October 10 Centennial Conference Special Teams Honor Roll for his performance in a 20-14 loss to defending Centennial Conference co-champion Johns Hopkins University on October 9.
Against JHU, he punted seven times for 279 yards (39.9 avg.) with a long of 49 and three punts inside the Hopkins' 20-yard line. In addition, he hit two extra points, as he is now 19-of-20 on PATs this year.
In the latest Centennial Conference statistics, Eggertsson leads the Conference in punting with a 41.8 yard average (38 punts for 1,588 yards) and ranks third in point after efficiency (95 percent). Further, he ranks sixth in field goals (three), third in field goal percentage (three-for-four, 75.0 percent) and scoring by kick (28 points) and 11th in scoring with 4.7 points per game.

For his career, he is averaging 38.2 yards per punt as he is currently 0.20 off the school career punting record of 38.4 held by Jon Bushey and is on pace to erase the single season punt average record of 39.9 held by Bushey from 1996.
