LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's football game with Muhlenberg on Saturday afternoon will mark the first-ever Homecoming football game to be streamed live over the Internet. Elliot Platt will offer the play-by-play to accompany the live video in the second streaming broadcast in Franklin & Marshall's partnership with B2 Networks.
B2 Networks and Franklin & Marshall College established a partnership that brings Diplomat athletics to the world's leading provider of broadband broadcasting for the next three years in early September. Eighteen Franklin & Marshall sports will be broadcast during the 2007-08 academic year with the possibility of additional sports being added to the viewing lineup in the future.
Fans wanting to watch Franklin & Marshall athletics via B2 Networks will need a high-speed Internet connection and a current version of Microsoft Windows Media Player. Live events will be aired through the school's athletic website GoDiplomats.com, and games will be sold on an individual basis with special viewing packages that can be purchased on B2's website.
Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m., with the game to go on the air 10 minutes prior to kickoff. The game will still be called over WFNM 89.1 in the Lancaster listening area.
