WILMINGTON, Del. – Three Diplomats placed in the top-15 to lead the Franklin & Marshall men's golf team to a third-place finish at the Frederick Anton Memorial Invitational hosted by Swarthmore College at Rock Manor Country Club on Sunday. F&M totaled 304 strokes, just three behind Chesnut Hill College (301) for second and one ahead of Swarthmore (305), while Stevens Institute of Technology led all teams with 298.
Steve Nicholas paced F&M with a two-over 73, tied for sixth overall. Eddie Sot of Stevens earned the top finish with his one-under 70.
Kevin McGloin and R.J. Pozzuto were next for the Diplomats. The duo finished tied for 14th with a five-over 76. Troy Kelleher tied for 20th with a six-over 77. Jas Fuhrer finished with a seven-over 78, tied for 25th.
F&M returns to action on Sept. 21, when the Diplomats begin the two-day Ted Keller Invitational hosted by Randolph-Macon at the Dominion Club.
