Diplomats First at Fall Invitational


LANCASTER, Pa. — Five members of the Franklin & Marshall men's golf team placed in the top-10 at the F&M Invitational Monday at Bent Creek Country Club. The Diplomats' "Blue" Team took the team title with a 307, and the "White" Team placed third at 313. Catholic finished second out of 13 teams.

Stevenson's Will Ford won the event with a two-under 69.

Seiichiro Nakai led the Diplomats with a one-over 72 and placed second on the par-71, 6,6434-yard course, while Michael Gallagher and Charles Mitchell tied for fifth at 74.  Jas Fuhrer and Troy Kelleher both carded 76 for ninth place, while Stephen Nicholas (77) was 14th and Ian Murray along with R.J. Pozzuto took 15th with a 78.

Jason Koshinski was 20th with a round of 79 in the field of 20 golfers. Tyler Wassell's 81 was good for 28th and Jordan Hubal was two behind at 83 and finished 36th. Kevin McGloin (49th) came in at 86, and Connor Hicks (62nd) recorded a 96. 

The Diplomats finish up the fall portion of their schedule next Saturday and Sunday at the two-day Gino Biondi Tournament hosted by Marywood at the Gelnmaura Country Club.
