LANCASTER, Pa. – Charlie Welch and Zach Zamek were named to the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team. Welch earned a spot on the first team while Zamek landed on the third team.  Both players qualify for the All-America Team, which will be announced later this week.

A four-year starter on defense, Welch excelled as the Diplomats' middle back in 2010. He anchored a defensive unit that allowed 0.95 goals per game and posted nine shutouts on the season. The Diplomats defense allowed only one goal over the final 600 minutes of play in the regular season. Welch also contributed at the front end offering a goal and a pair of assists on the season. This is his first All-Region honor. He was named to All-Centennial Conference First Team this season.

Zamek is making his first All-Region appearance after posting eight shutouts. He handed off his ninth by yielding the cage to a senior classmate during the Diplomats' final home game, a 4-0 shutout of Dicksinon. Zamek sported a goals against average of 0.97 and a .816 save percentage.  He wrapped up a brilliant career with an F&M record 24 shutouts. Zamek earned a spot on All-CC Third Team early this year.

The Diplomats were ranked as high as 23rd in the nation in 2010 with a daunting schedule both inside and outside of conference play. The Diplomats finished the year at 9-4-3 and earned the second seed in the CC Championship Tournament.
