LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Trevor Britton was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Defensive Player of the Week for men's soccer, announced by the league office on Monday. The honor is Britton's second consecutive accolade, third of the season and fifth in his career.
The senior goalkeeper stopped all five shots he faced in a 1-0 blanking of Johns Hopkins on Saturday afternoon. With the shutout, Britton (13-0) now has eight on the year and 20 for his career, a mark that places him second on the program's all-time list.
F&M, the nation's No. 1 team, has earned shutouts in six of its previous seven contests and has a total of 10 in 2015. The Diplomats return to action by traveling to Muhlenberg on Tuesday for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
