Ron Koenig joined the Franklin & Marshall squash program as an assistant coach for the men's and women's teams prior to the start of the 2019-20 season.
Koenig brings a wealth of experience with him to Lancaster, having coached in the Philadelphia area for the previous 15 years. From 2006-12 he was the head coach for the Malvern Prep squash program. By his third year at Malvern, he took the young program to compete at High School Nationals where the team finished fourth in Division 3 for two consecutive years.
In 2012, Ron joined Springside Chestnut Hill Academy as Assistant Director of Squash, where the boy's team won the MASA Championship and Inter-Ac in 2014 and finished in the top-5 at nationals every year he was there. On the girl's side, the varsity team finished in the top-10 in 2015 and 2016, while the middle school team finished second at Nationals in 2013 and 3rd in 2014. He also served as an assistant coach at the Haverford School from 2016-19, where he was responsible for the middle school team, which won the MASA Championship in both 2018 and 2019, as well as the National Championship in 2019.
