LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall wrestling heads into the weekend ready to compete in the program's final open tournament on the 2019-20 calendar with Saturday's Shorty Hitchcock Open, hosted by Millersville.

A Look at the Shorty Hitchcock Open
Millersville's annual home tournament began back in 2009 and is entering its 12th season of competition. Action will occur in the Student Memorial Center with placing for the top-six in each weight class.
Wil Gil went 4-0 at last year's Open to claim the 141-pound title. A contingent of six F&M wrestlers represented the Diplomats on the day.
Four F&M wrestlers placed in the top-six to lead at the Diplomats at their home tournament, the 2020 David H. Lehman F&M Open on Saturday in Lancaster. Wil Gil went 4-1 in the 141-pound bracket to claim third. Emmett LiCastri (165 pounds) notched a 3-1 mark to take third, and Noah Chan (157 pounds) registered a 4-1 record to also place third. Recap.

Five Diplomats placed in the top-eight at the 2020 David H. Lehman F&M Open on Jan. 4th – good for the most-ever for the program at their home tournament.
Moving up the Wins Chart
Emmett LiCastri (165 pounds) and Wil Gil (141 pounds) both surpassed the 50-win plateau this season. LiCastri enters the week with 16 victories during his senior campaign and holds a 62-56 career record.
He is just one win shy of cracking the program's top-20 list.
Gil has tallied a team-best 18-6 mark during his junior year and currently holds a 65-35 overall record, which places him 19th on the all-time wins list.
Put a Pin in it
With four pins on the year, senior captain Emmett LiCastri is up to 20 in his career. He became one of only 15 F&M wrestlers to record 20 falls in his career and is just three shy of reaching the top-10.
