LANCASTER, Pa - Sophomore Ryan Bell was the top collegiate runner, finishing in second place at the Franklin & Marshall Championship Run for the Roses held at Baker Campus on Saturday.
Bell ran 8K race in 25:53, just 50 seconds behind the leader who was an unattached runner not affiliated with the Diplomats, Johns Hopkins or Millersville, the three competitors. This marks the fifth straight race Bell has recorded the top time for F&M this season.
Franklin Dekker finished 12th out of 28 with a time of 26:57 for second on the team, while Jeffrey Hindes crossed the line in 28:16 for 24th overall. The final and fourth runner for F&M was Bryant Robinson, taking the course in 28:48 for 27th.
Andrew Yen came in first for the Blue Jays for third place with a time of 26:07 followed by Mike Yuan in fourth in 26:27. The Marauders' James McBride and Adam Molloy clocked in at the same time (26:29) for fifth and sixth overall, respectively.
The Diplomats are off for two weeks and return to action on Nov. 1 at the Centennial Conference Championships held at Gettysburg.
