SALISBURY, Md. – Franklin & Marshall, led by Greg Duckloe, placed second out of 14 teams at the Don Cathcart Invitational on Saturday. F&M finished with a one-point margin over third place finisher, host Salisbury with an average time of 26:21.80 in the 8K race. Wilmington University won the event placing five runners in the top 15.
Duckloe (25:34.00) crossed the finish line in third, trailing the second place runner by only three seconds. The senior shaved almost two minutes off his time at the Rich Achtzehn Classic two weeks ago
Bryan Andrews (25:51.00), placed eighth out of the 136 runners, trailing Duckloe by 17 seconds. Angelo Arce (26:45.00) and Andrew Foley (26:48.00) finished neck-and-neck in 21st and 22nd place, followed closely by Josh Wesalo (26:51.00), and Tim Merlino (26:55.00) who placed 26th and 27th respectfully.
Finishing off the top seven runners for the Diplomats was Luk Olenginski (27:02.00) who placed 30th. Olenginski finished one second ahead of Salisbury's Joel Anderson, and that single second margin secured the second place finish for the Diplomats.
F&M will be back in action on Saturday, October 13th at the DeSales University Invitational. The event will take place at the DeSales University Campus and begin at 10:30 a.m.
