The 2013 Diplomats

F&M lost five seniors from last year who all ran in the top eight for the Diplomats. Replacing the group that helped F&M jump from 31st in the region four years ago to 10th last year will not be an easy task. The Diplomats strength this year is in the leadership of their upperclassmen, and if the team can stay healthy, look for them to remain in the top half of the region.

Returning Contributors

Bryan Andrews, Jr.
Greg Olenginski, Jr.
Luk Olenginski, Jr.
James Hamilton, So.

Bryan Andrews headlines the group of returners and has the talent to be a possible NCAA qualifier. Andrews nabbed All-Region honors as a freshman and just missed the cut last season. Greg Olenginski and Luk Olenginski were solid contributors last season and will look to play larger roles this year while James Hamilton looks for a breakout season.

Five freshmen have a chance to break into the top eight for F&M. Michael Whalen is the frontrunner of the group and will be in the mix early in the season. Adam Caccavale, Matthew Kershner, Brien Miceli and J.T. Paganelli will also look to contribute.

Seniors James Rucinski and Dylan Jennings; juniors Adam Eller, Leo Generali, Phil Johnson and sophomore Mike Supron will all play a role in the Diplomats' success.

The Road Ahead

F&M opens the season with the Blue & White Open before returning home the following week to host the Little Three Meet at Baker Campus.  The prestigious Paul Short Run at Lehigh is slated for Oct. 5 with the Centennial Conference Championships set for Nov. 2 at McDaniel. The Mid East Regionals will be ran at Lehigh on Nov. 16.
