YORK, Pa. – Four runners placed in the top-15 to lead Franklin & Marshall to the team championship at the Rich Achtzehn Classic for the second year in a row. F&M finished with 38 points with York placing second (48) in the 12-team race.
Bryan Andrews led the way with a second place finish in 27:14.79 on the 8k course hosted by York College. Luk Olenginski and Michael Whalen both placed in the top ten with Olenginski grabbing fifth at 27:22.79 and Whalen crossing at 27:25.72 for the sixth spot. James Hamilton was the other Diplomat to medal with a 13th place finish at 27:37.66.
Greg Olenginski grabbed 20th (27:58.41) with J.T. Paganelli crossing the line at 29:06.91 to take 35th in the field of 114 runners. Matthew Kershner (29:32.49), James Rucinski (30.09.89) and Adam Caccavale finished in the middle of the pack. Dylan Jennings (32:09.22) and Leo Generali (34:38.94) rounded out the Diplomats lineup.
