LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's cross country team officially begins its 2015 season on Friday, Sept. 11 at Gettysburg by competing against the host Bullets and the Red Devils of Dickinson at the Little Three Meet. Despite graduating three top runners from last year's squad, a large group of six newcomers is set to give the Diplomats greater competitive depth than past seasons.

Key departures such as three-time All-Region honoree Bryan Andrews and brothers Luk and Greg Olenginski will be sorely missed, but a large group of new faces promises to give the Diplomats greater consistency from top to bottom. Head coach John Stoudt will look to guide this talented and deep squad into the top-20 in the region for the fifth straight year after last year's 13th place finish.
James Hamilton – Sr.
Michael Whalen – Jr.
Brien Miceli – Jr.
J.T. Paganelli – Jr.
James Galasso – So.
John Vallachi – So.
Senior James Hamilton returns in 2014 to lead an otherwise young F&M squad. Hamilton finished 97th at last season's Mid-East Regional Championships and was consistently the No. 3 or No. 4 runner for the Diplomats a year ago. Michael Whalen and Brien Miceli are back for junior seasons after running in regional competition in 2014 and are joined by fellow junior J.T. Paganelli, a 2013 competitor in that race.
James Galasso and John Vallachi return as sophomores looking to improve on solid freshmen seasons and bridge the gap to the numerous new additions.
The Road Ahead
The Diplomats will begin the 2015 season by travelling to Gettysburg for the Little Three Meet on Sept. 11. The season ramps up in October with the Paul Short Run at Lehigh on Oct. 2 (1:45 p.m.) and the Gettysburg Invitational on Oct. 17 (11:00 a.m.).
The season winds down with the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships hosted by Johns Hopkins on the campus of Stevenson University on Oct. 31. However, all runners will be focused on the final competition of the year, the Mid-East Regional Championships, hosted by Dickinson at Big Spring High School on Nov. 14.
