CC Playoff Picture: Franklin & Marshall enters the final week of the regular season with a 13-2 overall record and an 8-1 mark in Centennial Conference (CC) action. Johns Hopkins sits atop the CC with an 8-0 record. The Diplomats have clinched a playoff berth and a first-round bye with their eight wins, but will battle the Blue Jays for home-field advantage on Saturday in the final contest of the regular season.

Series History: F&M opens the week traveling to York where the Diplomats hold a 24-10 record against Spartans, taking three out of the last five contests.

Although Hopkins owns a 23-14-1 advantage, the Diplomats have a 9-8-1 edge when playing in Lancaster. 

Last Game Against York: Lily Mynott tallied the OT game-winner to help No. 13 F&M defeat No. 17 York 3-2 last season.

Last Game Against Johns Hopkins: F&M defeated Johns Hopkins by a 2-1 tally to take home the Centennial Conference Title on Nov. 5 last season.

Senior Day: Before the start of Saturday's regular-season finale against Johns Hopkins, F&M will honor its five-member senior class of Nicole Bodo, Juliana Keagle, Emily Nagle, Ilianna Santangelo, and Phoebe Wood

Last Week: Mynott was the lone goal-scorer to help the Diplomats to a 1-0 victory over Bryn Mawr on Saturday.

In the Rankings: The Diplomats stayed at No. 10 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Poll this week. Johns Hopkins (No. 11) and Ursinus (No. 19) are the only other CC schools in the top-20 while reigning Champion, Middlebury, sits in the top spot.

Regionally, F&M sits third in the South Atlantic Region with Salisbury taking the top spot, followed by Johns Hopkins. The second set of rankings are set to be released on Wednesday and will be made available here

Among the Leaders (NCAA): After allowing just six goals on the year, F&M ranks second across Division III teams in save percentage (.875). The Diplomats also rank second in goals against average (0.40) and shutouts per game (0.73).

Goalkeeper Santangelo sits second in the country for goals against average (0.42) and fourth in save percentage (0.864). Erin Coverdale ranks the top-50 in goals per game (29th – 1.00).

Among the Leaders (CC): Coverdale currently leads all CC players with 32 points and is first with 15 goals on the year while Lily Mynott is tied for sixth with eight goals on the year. Melissa Gula is tied for second in assists with six and Emily Nagle is tied for third with five. Ilianna Santangelo leads the Conference in save percentage (.864) and is first in goals-against average (0.42).

Milestone Watch: Coverdale sits ninth in the program for points with 94 in her career. Brittany Croll '06 leads the category with 127. She also sits tied for seventh with 41 goals, needing four more to reach sixth. Coverdale is tied for third in program history with 11 game-winning goals. Sydney Cole '17 leads the category with 15. The junior forward also sits tied for third for single-season game-winning goals with six on the year so far. 

Santangelo is second in career shutouts with 29, while Laura Cianciulli '82 leads with 30. The senior also ranks 10th in saves with 220. Kelly Schenke '95 leads the category with 1,279. 

As a team, the Diplomats are tied for second for shutouts with 11 on the year, needing one more shutout to tie the program single-season record. 

Santangelo Sets Win Mark: With a 7-0 F&M victory over Eastern on Sept 12., Santangelo set the program record for career wins with 51. She surpassed Avery Koep '14.

Home-field Advantage: The Diplomats enter the week owning a 10-0 record in CC games played in Lancaster dating back to Oct. 22, 2016.
