    The Franklin & Marshall scholar-athlete profile features a Diplomat, past or present, who personifies what it means to be an NCAA student-athlete. The F&M campus has always been filled with dedicated, passionate, and talented student-athletes who have interesting stories to tell – and it's our goal to let those stories be heard. To be featured, an F&M scholar-athlete must demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and community service, or have a noteworthy story that stretches beyond the realm of athletic competition. 
  • Season in Review: 2019 F&M Field Hockey

    Franklin & Marshall’s field hockey team delivered one of the most successful seasons in its history, setting five individual program records while remaining one of the top-ranked teams in Division III, culminating in a finish as the national runner-up in 2019. The Diplomats ended the year with a 20-4 record- the most single-season wins in program history- and advanced to the NCAA Final Four for the second time in the last three seasons.
  • Field Hockey Claims Four All-America Honors

    Franklin & Marshall field hockey’s Melissa Gula and Lily Mynott were named to the Longstreth/NFHCA All-America First Team while teammates Erin Coverdale and Christina Seery picked up Third Team honors.
  • Eager and Staff Named All-Region Coaching Staff of the Year

    Franklin & Marshall’s field hockey coaching staff was named as the Regional Coaching Staff of the Year for the South Region by the NFHCA on Monday afternoon. It marks the second time that head coach Kaitlyn Eager has guided the staff to this honor, last earning it in 2017.
  • Gula Named Regional Player of the Year

    Franklin & Marshall’s Melissa Gula was named the Longstreth/NFHCA Division III Regional Player of the Year for the South Region on Thursday afternoon. Gula is the second player in program history to receive the award since its inception in 2009, and the first since teammate Erin Coverdale received the award in 2017. The senior is the seventh Centennial Conference (CC) player to be honored.
  • F&M Lands Four on All-Region Team
    December 03, 2019
    Franklin & Marshall’s Erin Coverdale, Melissa Gula, Lily Mynott, and Christina Seery were named to the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-Region First Team. Coverdale landed on the First Team for the third consecutive season while Gula receives All-Region recognition for the first time. It is the first time that Mynott or Seery has been named All-Region.
  • National Championship Game Start Time Moved to 2:00 PM

    The start time for today's NCAA Division III Field Hockey National Championship game at Spooky Nook Sports has been moved back an hour to 2:00 p.m. due to snow.

    A back-and-forth defensive battle eventually saw Franklin & Marshall’s No. 6 ranked field hockey team surrender a late fourth-quarter goal in a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to No. 2 Middlebury in Sunday’s NCAA Division III National Championship game.

    A dominant third quarter lifted Franklin & Marshall's No. 6 field hockey team to a 3-1 victory over No. 5 Johns Hopkins in Saturday's NCAA Final Four in Manheim, Pa. The Diplomats improved to a program-record 20-3 mark while the Blue Jays' season came to a close at 19-3.
  • Fifty-Eight Earn Spots on CC Fall AHR; Six Garner All-Centennial Honors

    A record total of 58 Franklin & Marshall student-athletes, representing seven sports, earned a place on the 2019 Centennial Conference (CC) Fall Academic Honor Roll, announced by the league office on Tuesday.

    Franklin & Marshall is in the NCAA postseason for the 13th time and the sixth consecutive year. The Diplomats' highest finish in the Tournament came in 1981 when F&M fell to Trenton State 2-0 in the Championship game.

    A pair of goals from Erin Coverdale broke the program’s career record that stood since 1978 and helped lift Franklin & Marshall’s No. 4 ranked field hockey team to a 4-1 win over Hartwick in the NCAA First Round on Wednesday evening in Lancaster. 
  • F&M Hosts Hartwick in NCAA First Round

    No. 7 Franklin & Marshall is set to host Hartwick on Wednesday in the first round of the NCAA Field Hockey Tournament at 4:00 p.m on Tylus Field. Tickets will cost $5 for adults and $3 for students with ID's, senior citizens and children.

    Six members of the Franklin & Marshall field hockey team were named to the 2019 All-Centennial Conference (CC) Team, announced by the league office on Tuesday. Lily Mynott was named the Offensive Player of the Year and earned First Team honors, each for the first time in her career. Melissa Gula earned Defensive Player of the Year for the first time in her career and was named to the First Team for the second consecutive season. Darby Klopp was selected CC Rookie of the Year and landed on the Honorable Mention list. Mynott and Gula were joined on the first team by Erin Coverdale and Christina Seery. Klopp was joined by Colleen Francis as an Honorable Mention.

Dickinson and Gettysburg are battling for the fifth spot.
