LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Erin Coverdale was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Offensive Player of Week for field hockey, announced by the league office on Tuesday.
The honor was the fifth of her career and the first of the season for a member of the Diplomats.
Coverdale (Lewes, Del. / Cape Henlopen) tallied three goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Diplomats, including both game-winning scores. The game-winner over Lebanon Valley broke a 2-2 tie with just 26 seconds remaining in regulation, while her winning goal in the 5-0 victory over Mary Washington came in the eighth minute of play. Her two game-winners give her 16 total game-clinching scores in her career, which makes her the new program leader.
The Diplomats host York College on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
