LANCASTER, Pa. – Lily Mynott was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Offensive Player of the Week while Christina Seery garnered CC Defensive Player of the Week honors to sweep field hockey's weekly awards for Franklin & Marshall.
It marked the second time this season that each Diplomat earned their respective honor after the duo were both recognized by the league office on Sept. 23rd.
Mynott (Millburn, N.J. / Millburn) scored all four goals for the No. 8 Diplomats last week, including two late game-winners. She notched the double-overtime tally to take down No. 11 Ursinus on Saturday, along with a 54th-minute game-tying goal to send the contest to overtime.
Seven of Mynott's 11 shots were on goal. Earlier in the week, Mynott found the back of the cage twice in the fourth quarter as the Diplomats downed Catholic by a 2-0 score on Wednesday..
Seery (Westfield, N.J. / Westfield) picked up 10 saves and surrendered just one goal through two games last week. The junior goalkeeper's nine saves helped F&M fend off No. 11 Ursinus, including two key stops in overtime.
She now has six shutouts through 12 games and has allowed just one goal or fewer in 10 games.
F&M hosts Gettysburg on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
