Series History: Franklin & Marshall takes on Ursinus for the 45th time Wednesday evening and the Diplomats lead the series 27-17, including the last 13 contests. Haverford and F&M will square off on Saturday for the 32nd time with the Diplomats winning the last 15 meetings and F&M holds a 26-5 all-time record.
In the Rankings: Franklin & Marshall's women's lacrosse team stayed in third in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Poll, released Monday.
F&M Last Week: F&M went 2-0 last week with victories over Catholic and Swarthmore.
Kelly added a game-high seven ground balls with two caused turnovers while Kaitlin Hardt picked up the win with 10 saves and Tricia Pehnke took the loss with 12 stops for the Cardinals.
F&M outshot Catholic 33-28, went 13-11 in draws and was successful on 13-of-16 clear attempts.
No. 3 Franklin & Marshall cruised to 15-3 victory over Swarthmore in Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon at Tylus Field.
Caroline Doran paced the defense with three caused turnovers and two ground balls while Samantha Blicht, Megan Kelly and Katie Groenke all finished with two turnovers each. Sarah Bozzo added a team-high five ground balls for the Diplomats.
Kaitlin Hardt picked up the win and improved to 7-0 and Connie Bowen took the loss for Swarthmore with 10 saves.
Last Time We Met Ursinus: Grace Saliba scored three goals and assisted on another to lead Franklin & Marshall to an 11-3 victory over Ursinus in Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse action. Caroline Krohn finished with two goals while Kimberly Abruzzo, Siobhan Burke, Emily Everdell, Brittney Jorgenson, Mary Mitchell and Claire Jackson each struck once.
Kelsey Hoffman improved to 10-3 with seven saves and Margaret Philbin took the loss with nine stops on the evening and dropped to 6-6.
F&M outshot Ursinus 32-14 and went 20-for-23 in clear attempts.
Last Time We Met Haverford: Mary Mitchell and Emily Everdell tallied three goals each to lead No. 8 Franklin & Marshall to a 12-5 win over Haverford in Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse action. Emily D'Erasmo picked up a pair for the Diplomats while Krohn, Abruzzo, Mergner, and Saliba all finished with one goal each.
Christie Bonfiglio caused two turnovers and finished with two ground balls to pace the defense while Everdell and Blicht each collected three ground balls for the Diplomats.
