F&M Defeats Owls

BRYN MAWR, Pa. – No. Franklin & Marshall cruised to a 17-1 victory over Bryn Mawr Wednesday afternoon in Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse action. The Diplomats improved to 10-1, 3-0 CC while the Owls fell to 4-5, 0-4 CC. 

Gabby Frank, Paige Moriarty and Grace Saliba all finished with three goals and two assists to pace the F&M scoring attack. Claire Jackson scored once and handed out two helpers while Claire Miller, Taylor Freud, Siobhan Burke, Danielle Wilson, Anastasia Mergner, Bridget O'Donnell and Yen Baker each recorded a goal for the Diplomats.

Stephanie Speese, Aly Saliba and Moriarty all forced a turnover while Annese and Jackson came away with three draws each.

Danielle Harrington improved to 7-0 with a win and Kaitlin Hardt along with Julia McKay saw action in the second half and did not allow a goal.

F&M held a 32-5 edge in shots and went 7-for-7 in clear attempts.

The Diplomats return to action on Saturday when F&M travels to McDaniel for a 1:00 p.m. game.
