LANCASTER, Pa. — Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse coach Mike Faith announced Meg Bartley will join the Diplomats' coaching staff this season. Bartley will replace Katie Slade who took the head coaching position at Widener.
"Meg will be a great addition to the F&M family," said Faith. "She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from one of the best conferences in the country in Division I, the ACC and will be assisting the team in every aspect, especially on the draw."
She spent the 2016 season as a volunteer assistant coach at her alma mater, Virgina Tech, where she worked with the offense as well as the draw unit, helping to facilitate and plan practices.
Bartley was a four-year starter for the Hokies where she competed in four ACC Tournaments and was named the team's Rookie of the Year in 2012. Her name is scattered throughout the program's record book as she is the all-time leader for draws in a season (90), and career draws (285) while placing eighth in career goals with 113. She is ranked ninth in NCAA history for career draws per game average (4.25) and 14th for total career draws.
She graduated from Virginia Tech in December 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Management and was a three-time member of the All-ACC Honor Roll.
