Series History

F&M will battle No. 14 Catholic for the sixth time on Wednesday. The Diplomats own a 4-1 mark, including a 10-9 win last year. F&M will travel to Swarthmore on Saturday to face the Garnet for the 35th with a 31-3 mark.


F&M stayed at No. 2 in the latest IWCLA Coaches poll. Gettysburg remained in the top spot while Haverford (23rd) rounds out the Centennial Conference (CC) schools.

F&M Last Week

F&M picked up a 14-12 win over No. 14 Bowdoin last week.

Maisie O'Shea and Maddie Hughes led with three scores while Caroline Kolva, Tabitha Rodriguez, and Megan Jackson each netted two.

Maggie Hanzsche cemented the defense with four caused turnovers with Anya Chopoorian, O'Shea, and Erin Phillips registering two each.

Julia McKay (5-1) earned the win after turning away eight shots while Erin Morrissey (1-2) took the loss.

Last Time We Met Catholic

Paige Moriarty ended with three scores and two assists, Grace Norley struck three times and Megan Jackson finished with a pair of goals. Katie Groenke and Caroline Kolva both had a score while Hannah Serling handed out three helpers.

Maggie Hanzsche caused two turnovers to pace the defense and Danielle Harrington turned away 11 shots and finished with five ground balls to pick up the win.

F&M had a 28-22 edge in shots, held a 15-13 advantage in ground balls and won 12-of-21 draws.

Last Time We Met Swarthmore

Paige Moriarty paced the offense with two scores and three assists, Grace Norley had three goals while Caroline Kolva, Maddie Hughes, Nancy Taylor, and Juliann Lisovicz all scored two goals for F&M. Ryann Laible and Megan Jackson each had a score and Jane Cote ended with one goal and two assists.

Anya Chopoorian had nine draw controls and Maggie Hanzsche caused two turnovers. Danielle Harrington picked up the win with seven saves in goal.

F&M outshot the Garnet 40-17, held a 20-5 lead in draw controls and went 15-for-15 in clear attempts.
