LANCASTER, Pa. – No. 4 Franklin & Marshall downed Ursinus 13-2 in Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats improved to 10-3, 5-0 CC, while the Bears fell to 2-10, 1-4 CC.
F&M's defense was on point the entire game, limiting the Bears to just one goal per half and only allowed 11 shots on the day. The Diplomats led 11-1 heading into the break and tacked on two more in the second for the win.
Megan Jackson scored four goals to pace the offense and Maisie O'Shea along with Tabitha Rodriguez each ended with a pair. Nancy Taylor, Caroline Kolva, Juliann Lisovicz all struck once. Jane Cote and Ally Marino both had a goal and two assists each.
Emily Kitchin improved to 4-0 with six stops in the cage.
F&M led in shots 43-11, ground balls 23-15 and went 19-for-21 in clear attempts.
The Diplomats return to action on Wednesday at McDaniel for a 7:00 p.m. game.
