Women’s Lacrosse Earns Pair of IWLCA Academic Distinctions

Academic Honor Squad | Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's women's lacrosse team was named as an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) 2019 Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad. In addition to the team honor, Maddie Hughes and Julia McKay both landed on the IWLCA's Academic Honor Roll. 

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Squad, a women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.0 or higher GPA for the academic year. A total of 312 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA were recognized on the list, including eight Centennial Conference (CC) institutions. 

For the second straight year, Hughes and McKay earned their place on the Academic Honor Roll which is reserved for juniors, seniors, or graduate students with a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or higher. 

F&M advanced to the program's second consecutive NCAA Elite Eight, finishing the 2019 campaign with a 17-5, 9-0 CC record.
