Diplomats Rally Past Green Terror

LANCASTER, Pa. - Jen Korngut's tally in the 19th minute put Franklin & Marshall up early as the Diplomats cruised to a 2-0 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer Saturday afternoon. Franklin & Marshall improved to 7-3 overall (3-2 CC), and McDaniel dropped to 2-5-3 (1-3 CC).

Korngut received the ball off a rebound from Carly Nicholson and chipped the ball past the goalkeeper from ten yards out.  The Diplomats continued to put the pressure on throughout the half taking nine shots to McDaniel's one.
Second half action mostly belonged to F&M who held majority of the possessions. Holly Lagasse received the ball off a free kick, 25 yards out from the left sideline and slipped it past the goalie. 
Freshman goalkeeper Hannah Barry improved to 7-3 and Jan Woolley for McDaniel dropped to 2-5-3.
The victory is Franklin & Marshall's third in a row. The Diplomats look to continue their success Wednesday the 13th at John Hopkins. Game time is set for 7 PM.
