F&M enters the year looking to improve on last year's 3-11-3 record, a mark that saw the Diplomats double their positive results from 2014. Head coach Heather Kemp's second season comes with higher expectations and hopes of having a presence in the conference playoff picture.

F&M lost four seniors to graduation at the end of last year, but the team's 17 returning players include eight starters. Eight newcomers round out the squad and look to fill the void.
Players to Watch
D – Sarah Mischianti – Sr.
M – Kate Kerr – Sr.
D – Blaise Ebanietti – Jr.
M – Lauren Kranis – So.
D – Meghan Byrne – So.
Mischianti returns to lead the defense after she earned All-Centennial Conference Honorable Mention and started all 16 games in which she appeared last season. She is joined on defense by Byrne, a sophomore, who led the team with three assists in 2015. Ebanietti made 16 starts in 17 matches last year and rounds out a strong core of experienced defenders.
Kerr, F&M's leading scorer in 2015 with three goals, is set to lead the offense in her final season. Kranis will hold down the midfield and provide some offense after scoring the game-winner in last year's 1-0 victory over Rosemont on Sept. 6.
The Road Ahead
After taking on Shenandoah and Rosemont to kick off the season, nonconference action continues on Sept. 6 when F&M pays a visit to Widener, a team that the Diplomats defeated 2-1 in double overtime on Sept. 12 last season. Local foes Lancaster Bible come to Tylus Field on Sept. 28 for another intriguing nonconference matchup.
F&M begins CC play on Sept. 17 at Swarthmore before hosting Ursinus on Sept. 24 for the conference home opener. Other important games in the Centennial include an Oct. 5 visit to perennial power Johns Hopkins and an Oct. 29 match on Senior Day against Dickinson.
The first round of the conference playoffs is scheduled for Nov. 2, with the semifinals and finals contested from Nov. 5-6.
A new feature to this year's schedule is the "Add to Calendar" button, which allows fans to sync new events and updates directly in their Google, Exchange, Yahoo, Outlook, ICal and additional calendars.
