The seventh inning was both give and take for Franklin & Marshall Sunday afternoon. The Diplomats surrendered three runs in the final frame to fall 5-2 to Fredonia State before scoring five runs in the last inning to earn a 10-8 win over Lasell. F&M evened its record to 3-3.

Julie Jefferson accounted for all of F&M's runs against Fedonia with a 2 RBI single in the first that scored Danielle Murphy and Nicole Casey. Kaitlin Zampino went the distance of the mound for the Diplomats.

Ashley Hartshorn and Murphy combined for four runs in the win against Lasell. Hartshorn belted a two-run home run while Murphy knocked in a pair with a triple. Samantha Denoville picked up three hits, including a double, and Malorie Sassaman had two hits. Allie McQuaide earned her first collegiate win and also plated a run with a squeeze.
