Series History: Franklin & Marshall heads down to Florida for eight games in a four-day span when the Diplomats compete in the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Fort Myers. Action begins Sunday when F&M takes on Stevens, a team who won 30 games last season and a squad the Diplomats have never faced. Game two is against Wisconsin-Platteville, a team F&M has yet to play.
On Monday, in game one the Diplomats will battle Salem St. (Mass.), a squad that F&M beat 7-2 last season in Florida, while game two is against St. Joseph (Conn.). The Diplomats are 1-0 against the Blue Jays all-time, with the win coming back in 2012.
Tuesday's first game is against Lasell out of Massachusetts. F&M has a 2-0 record against the Lasers with the most recent victory coming in 2011. The nightcap features the Diplomats taking on Knox (Ill.), another team F&M has never played.
The spring break trip wraps up Wednesday with game one against Brockport St., who won the only meeting ever against the Diplomats back in 2009. F&M will battle Nichols (Mass.) in Florida's final game. The Bison won the teams' only meeting back in 1996.
