Series History: F&M hosts Washington College on Thursday, a team that the Diplomats are 44-21 against all time. Haverford comes to Lancaster on Saturday and F&M holds a 23-13 overall mark against the Fords, but Haverford has won three straight. The Diplomats head to Westminster on Sunday to take on McDaniel, who has a 44-22 record against F&M, however the squads split the double header last year.

Scouting the Opponents: The Shorewomen (7-11, 2-4 CC) are led by outfielder Clare Hofstedt who's hitting .351 and pitcher Kristin Cooper who has an impressive 0.98 ERA in 50.0 innings of work.

Haverford is 13-5 thus far and 5-1 in Centennial Conference (CC) action. Catcher Kristin Tatum is hitting an whopping .434 and has six homeruns with a slugging percentage of .906.

Against the Highlanders, Katie Wenger and Isabel Schaefer combined for a one-hit shutout. Erin Russell, Crystal Good, and Megan Ryan had two hits apiece, while Russell tallied three RBI's.

In game two, Ryan and Justine Lohrey teamed up to throw another one-hit shutout. Ryan went three innings and struck out four to earn the victory and move to 3-0. Melissa Bollmeyer recorded three hits and scored three runs, while Russell had two hits, two RBI's, and two runs and Ryan registered two hits and four RBIs.

Against the Garnet, Schaefer led the Diplomats to the sweep, throwing a complete-game shutout in game one, giving up just three hits while striking out seven batters. F&M's offense totaled 13 hits and everyone in the starting lineup recorded a hit, including three from Patricia Crigler and two from Russell, Good, and Samantha Burns.

In the nightcap, Schaefer got the start again from the inside the circle and was brilliant, tossing five innings of shutout ball while allowing five hits and striking out three improving her record to 7-1. The offense was in double-digits in hits again with 11, as Good, Ryan, and Crigler each had a pair, while Bollmeyer scored three runs.

Several Diplomats Near the Top of the CC: Good is tied for fourth in the CC with 19 RBIs, and is ninth with a .404 batting average. Schaefer's ERA of 1.78 is good for sixth, and her seven wins and 52 strikeouts rank fourth.

F&M's Mark: F&M is 14-2 so far this season, its best record this far into the season since the Diplomats started 15-1 back in 1981.
