Alex Quigley joined the Franklin & Marshall coaching staff for the start of the 2020 season.
Quigley comes from Messiah College after 14 years as the program’s top assistant coach and recruiting coordinator with a primary focus on pitchers and catchers. Messiah posted a 435-173 record while he was on staff.
The Falcons advanced to conference postseason play in 12 of his 14 seasons, winning five conference titles. Messiah won the NCAA DIII National Championship in 2009 and was the national runner-up in 2016 with Quigley on the coaching staff. The Falcons made an additional appearance at the DIII College World Series in 2011. Messiah secured eight total trips to the NCAA Division III tournament. Quigley coached two All-Americans, five conference Pitcher-of- the-Year recipients, 22 All-Conference pitchers and catchers, and 15 All-Region selections while at Messiah.
Prior to Messiah, Quigley was the head coach at Boiling Springs High School from 1997-2005 where he produced a 127-61 record. Boiling Springs won three league titles and participated in the PIAA District III tournament in each of Quigley’s nine seasons at the helm.
A private pitching instructor for over 20 years, Quigley has led guest clinics throughout central Pennsylvania.
Quigley currently resides in Carlisle and works as the Director of Information Services for the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC. He and his wife Michele have one daughter, Jen, who played second base for Messiah from 2001-04. She was twice named to the All-Conference team.
