Hill Paces Swimmers to Second After Day One

LANCASTER, Pa -- Franklin & Marshall's women's swim team is in second place at the conclusion of Day One of the F&M Invite Saturday. The Diplomats (366) trail Kutztown (468) by 112 points.

Olivia Hill was the Diplomats' highest place finisher taking second in the 500 free with a 5:09.93. She later teamed with Krista Hollingsworth, Katherine DeCrosta and Ana Franzluebbers in the 400 medley relay to place third with a 4:07.45.

Rebecca Daen joined Hollingsworth, DeCrosta and Franzuebbera to finish third in the 200 medley relay with a 1:40.32. DeCrosta touched at 2:16.02 to place fourth in the 200 IM while Caitlyn Fuller took sixth with 2:16.54. Daen (24.99) and Hollingsworth (25.65) took and fifth and eighth in the 50 free.

Hill picked up where she left off in Session One by winning the 200 in 1:57.07 and Franzluebbers took fifth with a 1:59.36. Hollingsworth placed seventh in the 100 back with 1:02.68.


Fuller (4:49.20), Emily Zacherl (4:50.21) and DeCrosta (4:50.30) went three through five in the 400 IM. Hollingsworth, DeCrosta, Jackie Behr and Daen swam 1:54.07 to take sixth in the 200 medley relay.  Franzluebbers, Garland Bartlett, Maggie Johns and Hill teamed to finish second in the 800 medley relay with a 8:05.47

Gettysburg (306), Washington (256) and St. Mary's round out the top five teams. Swimming resumes Sunday at 10 a.m.
